The arch liverpool bit features a special, flattened shape of the arch. This provides the tongue with optimal space. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing activity. This mouthpiece is therefore particularly suitable for horses that are reluctant to accept conventionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react with head shaking.

The bit is also very well suited for so-called "tongue players"—horses that try to get their tongue over the bit—as the arch effectively prevents this. The arch has a height of 30 mm.
